Credit Bureau Services, Inc. does not resell or share any identifying personal, corporate, or demographic information gained through this process to other companies or entities in any way. However, non-identifying aggregate Credit Bureau Services, Inc. may use demographic and contact information for its own internal communications and marketing efforts unless you specifically choose otherwise.

Applicability

This Privacy Policy governs our use of the information that you provide to us or we otherwise obtain in providing our products and services to you.

Changes to Information

If you want to correct information in a consumer report we provide on you that you believe is incorrect, you can do so through the dispute resolution process provided under the Fair Credit Reporting Act or other applicable laws.

Use of Information

We request information from you or obtain information about you for our own legitimate business purposes and not for the benefit of any third party. Therefore, we will not release your information to any party, whether affiliated with us or not, except: (1) as necessary for us to provide the product or service you have requested of us; or (2) as permitted by law. We may, however, store such information, including during the period after which any customer relationship has ceased. Such information may be used for any internal purpose, such as quality control efforts or customer analysis.

Former Customers

Even if you are no longer our customer, our Privacy Policy will continue to apply to you.

Confidentiality and Security

We will use our best efforts to: (a) protect the confidentiality of your nonpublic personal information (including your social security number) and ensure that no unauthorized parties have access to any of your information, (b) restrict access to nonpublic personal information about you to those individuals and entities that need to know that information to provide products or services to you, and (c) prevent the unlawful disclosure of your nonpublic personal information (including your social security number). Privacy Notice: Preparation and Processing of Investigative Consumer Reports

This notice is provided to California residents. Under California law, an “investigative consumer report” is a consumer report containing information on a consumer’s character, general reputation, personal characteristics, or mode of living. Credit Bureau Services, Inc. compiles investigative consumer reports about individuals and provides them to business for background screening, tenant screening, and similar purposes.

Personal Information Disclosure: United States – In connection with its preparation and processing of investigative consumer reports Credit Bureau Services, Inc. may transfer personal information about you to our authorized service providers in the United States and its territories. Such transfer will be conducted in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations. Credit Bureau Services, Inc. does not use service providers located overseas.

We do not sell or share e-mail addresses or any other information with third parties. E-mail addresses and other volunteered information are kept confidential.

Data Collection

All activities performed on the system are logged. We will periodically check the log files for irregularities or possibly malicious actions. This measure helps with the early detection of illegal activities and/or possible equipment failure. This logged data may also be analyzed to determine how we can upgrade our system to better service you. When used in the course of scientific or research purposes, all reasonable identifying information is removed.

Credit Bureau Services, Inc. does not initiate cookies on behalf of third parties within this system. This system does not store sensitive or personal identifying information in cookies. However, non-persistent cookies may be required to maintain session state.
